Snorkeling with turtles

Snorkeling with turtles will be a heartwarming experience that you shouldn’t miss when in Sri Lanka. Turtle snorkeling is available any day, we recommend you to go in the morning, latest before noon.

  • We will pick you up from your your place of stay anywhere in Mirissa by our TukTuk. We will also bring you back, it is included in the price. If you are travelling from Weligama or Matara the extra price for TukTuk there and back is 3000 LKR.

  • We can arrange the date per Whats App, leave us a message. Snorkeling with turtles can be booked daily. Please confirm the date before payment.

  • You will get a guide and snorkeling equipment if you don´t have your own. After pick up, we will head to the snorkeling location. After 1-2 hours in the water, we will bring you back to your place of stay.

    You’ll have the opportunity to feed the turtles and observe their natural behavior up close.

    Depending on the day’s currents and water clarity, confident swimmers can also explore nearby coral reefs, observing vibrant corals and colorful reef fish.

    Please note: No boats are used during the tour – this is because it's not necessary and helps protect the turtles and their natural habitat.

    IMPORTANT: We kindly ask that you avoid touching the sea turtles during your snorkeling experience. Human touch can damage the turtles’ protective skin layer, exposing them to infections, and can stress them, impacting their natural behavior.

    Additionally, for your safety, turtles can carry bacteria harmful to humans. Observing from a respectful distance helps protect both you and the turtles, ensuring a safe and authentic experience for everyone.
